God has been working on some stuff in me. You know the point where it starts to kind of hurt.
I know that He is working out a particularly rough part of me. He has to wear away this imperfection so that he can heal me. I will let you in on that some other time, I don’t think I’m quite ready to share, but I will let you know something true that stands out during this time.
Really, it’s not much.
Pretty simply: Jesus is patient and persistent and is waiting for you and speaking to you and will continue until you listen. He’s not like us. He won’t give up and walk away if we ignore Him.
I was listening to a book by Corrie ten Boom and she led me to read 2 Peter 3. The passage is about the coming of the Day of The Lord. It is worth reading the whole thing but I would like to highlight a verse that speaks to the characteristic of God that we are talking about today:
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3: 9
He loves you and will not give up on you.
I’ll just leave that there.
It seems like that is what needs to be said.
Have a wonderful day!
